how are skatepaige.com blank skateboard decks made?
seven layers of hard rock maple veneer in alternating grain patterns are glued together
and custom-molded in our industrial press, where hundreds of pounds of
pressure and heat form the concave and bends. then slow cooling makes it strong and stiff, yet slightly flexible to prevent breakage.
after curing for strength, we send these uncuts to the cutting machine, a router programmed with custom skateboard shapes, where each size is perfectly drilled and cut. then each deck is individually hand sanded and sealed twice with glossy lacquer. our decks are inspected through every step of the manufacturing process, and are guaranteed.
